InterMoor is looking to add a Structural Engineer to the team. The Structural Engineer performs engineering duties related to planning and designing anchors, subsea foundations, installation aides, and other steel structures. This position participates in engineering activities initiated from InterMoor's primary office locations: Morgan City, LA, Houston, TX and Fourchon, LA and may require travel and some offshore work from time to time.


The successful candidate will be based in the Houston area.


Duties

  • Perform various engineering analyses using applicable engineering software to develop designs
  • Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners on multidiscipline projects providing structural estimating and design knowledge
  • Develop and create data management tools for code calculations, structural analysis, and evaluation of data
  • Conduct project related research (historical data, regulations, etc.)
  • Contacting clients, subcontractors and vendors to define requirements and coordinate design interfaces
  • Some offshore field engineer duties aboard subsea construction and/or anchor handling vessels


Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Ocean or Civil discipline, preferred
  • 0 to 4 years' experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of frame analysis and finite element analysis software
  • Knowledge of steel design codes and calculations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong technical written and verbal communication skills
  • Good planning, organizational and time management skills
