2H Offshore is a global engineering contractor specialising in the design, engineering and integrity management of offshore structures, topsides facilities, subsea components and riser and conductor systems for the offshore oil and gas and renewables sectors. Both market sectors require similar engineering skill sets, and our breadth of experience in offshore structures and environments allows us to provide expertise at all stages of a project: feasibility and concept design, detailed design, procurement management, fabrication support, installation support, monitoring, integrity management, asset life extension and decommissioning.

Due to global demand, 2H Offshore is looking to expand and reinforce our offering in Flowline Engineering and now have a vacancy for a Senior Flowline Engineer to be responsible for leading and developing this capability. The successful candidate will report to the regional director and be responsible for the smooth running of all flowline-based jobs globally, as well as training engineers in all aspects of flowline engineering.

Our preference for candidates based in Woking, but other locations may be considered depending on the candidate. Global travel may be required to attend client meetings

Typical duties will include:

  • Develop the Company's ability to perform all aspects of flowline engineering
  • Development of in-house routines and spreadsheets
  • Writing and checking of technical reports
  • Training junior staff globally
  • Interfacing with clients

These duties will evolve and may therefore change as the Company grows and adapts to market changes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years' experience of flowline design on large EPCI projects
  • Detailed knowledge of the API and DNV codes SAFEBUCK
  • Knowledge of buckle initiation methods, walking mitigation methods and thermal expansion analysis using ABAQUS is essential
  • Capable of confidently presenting all aspects of flowline design to clients
  • Be highly organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work to strict deadlines and establish own timetables where necessary
  • Be able to work in an international and challenging environment within the energy sector
  • Fluent written and verbal English
  • Knowledge of flowlines for hydrogen would be a plus
