Job Description

LDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere.

LDD are currently looking for a Holland based Sales Manager, you will be responsible for business development and supporting clients with tenders for foundation installation services in Offshore Renewables, Marine Construction and Oil and Gas markets across mainland Europe.

Your focus will initially be on products and services for Large Diameter Drilling Limited but you will be expected to have competent awareness of the full service range of the Acteon Foundations Segment and be able to confidently package together multiple service offerings to fulfil customer project requirements.

To work within the tendering team defining technical solutions, composing commercial and technical tenders which will ultimately secure marine drilling and offshore construction contracts. Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Generate new leads and client contacts, forming and building on new and long-term relationships with all key buying influences within customer organisations.
  • Review client requirements, including, geotechnical data, site location, marine assets available, construction designs, delivery programmes and installation methods
  • Build technical solutions using Acteon Foundations Segment offerings, write methodologies and compose cost models
  • Attend meetings to discuss finer project requirements and present LDD services and technical solutions
  • Meet and build relationships with decisions makers in client organisations, hunt out potential further project opportunities and additional clients
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, upcoming projects, project sanction, client strategy, barriers to entry.
  • Development of initial project plans for handover to LDD operations department and provision of support to operations department with client liaison and information as may be required to completion of project and final account closure.
  • Actively encourage opportunities to work together with other Acteon operating companies.
  • Support LDD handling technology roadmap, supporting intelligence gathering on OWF lifting and handling tooling and competitive landscape, existing key players based in Holland to feed into justification for technology development and build.
  • Continue to drive and support the LDD handling core O&G business maintaining strong utilisation for the existing pile lifting and handling products.


  • 5+ years sales experience with offshore or renewables focus.
  • Engineering/geotechnical related degree desirable.
  • Ability to estimate and write proposals.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Well presented, good time management & organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn and develop.
