Job Description

Seatronics, part of Acteon Group, supplies specialist subsea solutions pursuing excellence both in engineering capability and customer support. Our continually developing expertise allows us to provide full service capability on demand encompassing rental, sales, service and repair, calibration, personnel and asset management.

We are currently recruiting for a QHSE Advisor to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

Based in Westhill you will be responsible for supporting Seatronics and Acteon Sister Companies to meet workplace health and safety requirements, in line with Acteon requirements.

The successful candidate will work with the Group QHSE Manager to identify joint solutions to problems, develop a positive health and safety culture where risks are managed sensibly, reduce accidents and ill health, plus their related costs to the businesses. With the aim of bringing about improvements in overall efficiency, quality and productivity, the QHSE Advisor will ensure managers comply with legal requirements at all times.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work with the Seatronics' Group QHSE Manager to maintain and develop organizational culture, QHSE culture, values and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
  • Work with the Seatronics' Group QHSE Manager to ensure QHSE procedures reflect the adopted common best working practices within Seatronics/Acteon and are kept current
  • Work with the Seatronics' Group QHSE Manager to provide suitable and current information concerning health, safety, environmental and quality policies and practices
  • Work with the Seatronics' Group QHSE Manager to ensure the provision of emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment and incident reporting
  • Maintain a record of proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments
  • Liaison as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities, and assistance and cooperation concerning audits and remedial actions
  • Ensure the performance of the Quality Manual is reviewed by Senior Management for effectiveness, continuing suitability and the need for improvement
  • Ensure managers carry out surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems
  • Ensure the records of planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment meets compliance requirements
  • Liaising with customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving
  • Organizing the training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress where necessary
  • Arranging PPE for staff
  • Follow QMS / ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 Procedures
  • Producing regular HSE reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • To conduct Internal Audits in line with external validation requirements


Requirements

  • Associate's degree, related technical, or equivalent is preferred
  • Certified General NEBOSH
  • Two years' experience as a Health and Safety practitioner, ideally in a global company
  • Experience of working with other agencies
  • Experience of effectively organizing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience of collating and presenting statistical or financial data
  • Ideally auditor certified
