Acteon provides a range of industry-leading products and services to support marine and subsea projects for the renewable, nearshore construction and oil and gas sectors across all phases of the lifecycle. We develop and engineer solutions and integrated services using data and knowledge-based insight across our customers' dynamic floating and fixed physical infrastructure.

Acteon is currently looking for a QHSE Advisor to join the team in a full time, permanent basis. Working as part of Acteon Integrated Services(AIS), you'll be part of the team delivering the largest & most complex projects across the Acteon Group.

The role is based for most of the time in the Aberdeen office(Westhill or Bridge of Don), however, some trips to London, where the AIS office is based, are anticipated. The role will also involve preforming site inspections to the work sites and the offshore construction vessels when and if required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of QHSE Activates for AIS, best practice usage of our QMS & providing support to the business during the preparation of tenders and the execution of projects.


  • To focus on the implementation and delivery of the Segment QHSE strategy and ensure the business QHSE objectives are achieved.
  • Management of all QHSE systems, processes and policies, with the aim of a Company-wide positive QHSE culture.
  • Implementation of QHSE continuous improvements plans and programs throughout the business and obtaining buy-in from all the teams.
  • To ensure all QHSE assurance and accreditations are in place and sustained; utilising internal and external audits to measure sustainment and improvements for the Operating Company
  • To ensure all relevant laws and regulations relating to HSE are maintained, highlighting to the Operating Company Managing Director where breaches of legislation are identified.
  • Produce accurate and timely QHSE information and management reports and liaise with the Senior Management Team.
  • Report to and work with the Managing Director to ensure the Company HSE systems are adhered to by all the teams/staff to ensure the required positive culture and standards are achieved.


  • Minimum 2-years in health and safety position across multi-site organisations.
  • Good working knowledge of health safety and environmental management systems and current legislation & best practice.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Membership of recognised industry body, such as IOSH
  • Knowledge of working with ISO systems to include 9001, 14001, 18001
  • Qualified to Internal Auditor level.
  • Excellent "customer" facing skills e.g. influencing, negotiation and problem solving.
  • Research skills backed up by effective and practical written procedures.
  • Pragmatic, realistic, balanced and charismatic, trustworthy and dynamic motivated self-starter.
  • Experience and Knowledge of implementation of behavioural safety programmes, occupational health and mental health strategies.
