Claxton are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Singapore team. The successful candidate will be based in Tuas, Singapore.

As part of the Claxton Singapore team, the Projects Manager has the responsibility of managing the projects delivery to ensure Claxton services are delivered in line with client expectations, on budget and safely whilst promoting the reputation for excellence with Claxton's internal and external stakeholders.

This role is also responsible for the management and development of the Field Service personnel which includes organisation and allocation of offshore service personnel to projects to ensure successful execution. The successful candidate will directly line manage Project Engineers, Project Administrators & our Field Service Supervisor.

Duties

  • Meet the objectives of the Projects department as set by Operations and Project Manager.
  • Leading by example, ensure the output of the Project Engineers is effective and highly utilised.
  • Create an environment that enables the team to delivery exceptional quality and service to customers with projects that are delivered safely and on time/budget.
  • Ensure a process or mechanism is established for keeping abreast of the status of all projects and identification or potential risks.
  • Ensure project schedules are properly defined, documented, risk-assessed and changes communicated across the relevant departments to ensure there is clarity and alignment on delivery goals.
  • Ensure risk registers are created, actioned and developed for all projects with input from all relevant departments.
  • Approve project documentation and ensure the equipment specification proposed to be used is suitable for the demands of the project.
  • Interface with the Workshop to ensure all Equipment is repaired and maintained and there are adequate resources to deliver Projects.
  • Support the harmonisation and continual improvement of project management processes and procedures.
  • Ensure lessons learned sessions are conducted following project completion and output action taken where required.
  • Provide timely and accurate information for month end invoicing, reporting and financial forecasting activities.
  • Ensure there is a robust system and/or person responsible to track Offshore Personnel's visa, work pass and inoculation requirements to suit work locations.
  • Ensure pre-job briefings with offshore personnel are conducted to discuss all safety, behavioural and operational factors of the upcoming project and similarly Post-job debrief meetings are held with the field techs, PE and other relevant stakeholders to ensure all lessons learnt are captured.
  • Provide out of hours support to projects as required.
  • Support sales and commercial departments with new opportunities, pursuits and tendering.


Required

  • Bachelors or equivalent level degree in a Technical or Business related subject.
  • APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent.
  • A strong rounded understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry lifecycle and how Claxton is positioned in this market.
  • Knowledge of offshore platforms, pipelines and wellhead related operations with regard to asset integrity and decommissioning.
  • Knowledge of vessel based operations.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a Project or Operations role with at least 2 years as a Line Manager or Team Lead.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to understand team dynamics, implement training, use coaching and manage conflict as necessary.
  • Good Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Eligible to work in Singapore.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Valid Passport.
