Job Description

Deepwater, part of Acteon Group, protects our clients' assets from corrosion. We solve corrosion problems and improve anti-corrosion technology to reduce maintenance costs and preserve the integrity of infrastructure.

Deepwater is looking to add a Pipe Support Assembler to the team. The Pipe Support Assembler is a combined role, to assemble, and pack out all pipe support products. Will handle the manufacturing of pipe support products to include: IRod and UBolts, and operating all tools, equipment, and machines. Doing so will require various industry standard methods of reading engineering drawings, manufacturing work instructions, and following manufacturing order requirements. There are also miscellaneous assembly, prepping and cleaning jobs that come up at times.

The successful candidate will be based in the Houston area.


  • Able to read and process Work Order and Engineering Drawings (Assembly drawings and instructions, Work Instructions, etc). Able to clock in and out of Work Tickets accurately.
  • Mechanical skills, must be able to use at least the following: Chop Saw, Manual Drill Presses, Grinders, Safety Knives, Boxes, Package and box parts, Printing Machines, Splitting Machine, Operate Large Batch Ovens, Pallet Jack, and Forklift.
  • Able to count parts produced and match it with a Work Ticket, Drawings, Work Instructions.
  • Able to perform work while wearing appropriate PPE and following Deepwater's safety Practices.
  • Must be able to verify the quality of his/her own work, by taking accurate checks of parts made against Drawings.
  • Will be required to measure, mark, cut and label parts, bags and boxes. Keep traceability of Heat/Batch Numbers.
  • Regularly participate in Safety meetings.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management


  • General assembly requirements experience, preferred
  • High School, Trade School, or higher; or equivalent experience
  • English language fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Good working knowledge of reading Engineering Drawings, Paint and Blasting specifications, etc.
  • Ability to read Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) from engineering drawings; produce parts to within those values, measure and prove out the parts match the drawings tolerances.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be available to work Overtime if required to meet Deepwater's commitments (up to 7 days/week).
  • Must be able to stand and work between an 8 to 12-hour shift.
