InterMoor are looking to hire a Onshore Marine Superintendent on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their office in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

The successful candidate will project manage marine operations for rig moves of semi-submersible and jack up assets, and render marine consultancy service and marine assurance on behalf of Clients.

The Onshore Marine Superintendent will attend offshore operations on behalf of InterMoor, acting in the capacity of Marine Specialist, Marine Representative or Tow master during rig move and offshore marine operations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Acting as contract holder/focal point for assigned clients, and managing the contract under its terms
  • Liaising with the clients on a daily basis and updating project status
  • Prepare quotes and costs for clients based on contract rates as applicable
  • Prepare operation specific procedures, risk assessments and any other marine jobs within their competency for the Clients, according to the industry standards, unit specifications and Client instructions
  • Attend rig move meetings with the Clients and update rig move procedures as required
  • Brief vessels, the Marine Representative, the Tow master or the Marine Superintendent on the operation specific procedure where and when applicable
  • Check and assess the reports after completion of the offshore operation and approve the final report for publishing and distribution to the Client
  • Plan rig moving services according to InterMoor general practice and BMS requirements
  • Attend offshore operations as Marine Representative, Marine Specialist or Towmaster
  • Perform accident/incident investigation onboard offshore vessels, as requested by the client
  • Perform Common Marine Inspections, Team Marine, Guard Vessel audits and ERRV Validation Trials or other audits as requested by the Client
  • Participate in the 'On Call' rota during out-of-office hours and holidays
  • Ensure effective financial controls and management are in place to achieve cost saving, profit and cash targets and to meet corporate and legal requirements
  • Accurately track and reconcile project equipment and resources

Requirements

  • Certificate of competency as Master Mariner
  • Chief Officer certificate of competence or OIM qualified or Barge Engineer with rig moving history
  • Offshore Survival Training & relevant Medical Certificates
  • Tow master experience with jack-ups and semi-submersibles
  • Substantial Marine experience
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Experienced in managing multiple fast paced projects
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
