MENCK are looking to hire a Junior Project Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based in Kaltenkirchen, Germany, the Junior Project Manager will be supporting the Technical and Commercial order process and project management of international offshore projects in the segments of wind energy, port / bridge systems and oil and gas platforms under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager and participate in the planning, management, and control of all project activities.


  • Support in the development and manufacturing of hydraulically operated pile drivers
  • Participation in the planning, management, and control of all project activities from taking over the project after signing the contract to acceptance by the customer
  • Interface support in the company to other areas, in particular sales, construction, production, logistics, equipment management and finance
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Permanent project controlling, deadline control, requesting and issuing status reports, ensuring product development and production / assembly, project forecast
  • Participation in the development of process descriptions, reports, specifications, and presentations
  • Invoicing and tracking as well as support with receivables management
  • Project documentation and follow-up
  • Support with root cause analyses and damage reports


  • Completed engineering studies in the fields of mechanical engineering, plant engineering, civil engineering or similar or commercial studies with technically well-versed basic knowledge
  • Experience within an Engineering or Commercial role ideally within a Project function.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
  • Confident handling of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Projects
  • Proactive, reliable, and flexible team player with high customer and service orientation
  • Process-compliant, independent, and structured way of working
  • Commitment, flexibility, and willingness to travel as well as a high willingness to be available for customer questions and problems outside of normal business hours if necessary
