Job Description

Acteon provides a range of industry-leading products and services to support marine and subsea projects for the renewable, nearshore construction and oil and gas sectors across all phases of the lifecycle. We develop and engineer solutions and integrated services using data and knowledge-based insight across our customers' dynamic floating and fixed physical infrastructure.

Acteon are currently looking to hire a IT Support Analyst to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. Our ideal candidate will be based in the Norfolk area & provide predominantly 1st & 2nd line support to Acteon Group across various regions, but will also involve elements of 3rd line support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of the organisation. This job includes participation in the on-call rota.

Responsibilities & Duties
* Onsite & remote support and maintenance of: Client devices (Laptops, Desktops, Smartphones etc), printers, networking equipment (Switches, wireless controllers, wireless access points), servers (Physical and virtual), phone systems and desk phones & Firewalls
* IT security
* Disaster recovery
* Backup & replication monitoring and maintenance
* System availability, performance monitoring / tuning and review of system logs
* Patch and update management
* IT & Telecoms projects
* Make recommendations on future infrastructure requirements
* Maintenance of IT Service Desk and Inventory
* Manage anti-virus and anti-spam
* Prepare and maintain user guidelines and procedures for IT system
* Provide out of hours' business critical support on rota
* Procurement of all IT equipment

Required
* Working on IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and able to manage incidents and requests within SLAs
* Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10)
* Understanding of networks and networking services
* Strong knowledge of Active directory
* Experience of providing remote IT support to users
* Experience of working in a customer service environment, providing excellent customer-focused service, managing customer expectations and dealing with difficult customers
* Exposure to working on complex problems through to resolution
* Professional and calm approach at all times, particularly when dealing with challenging situations
* Full UK driving licence and able to travel between Great Yarmouth and Norwich when required
