Probe Oil Tools are currently looking to hire an Apprentice Inspector on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Apprentice will undertake training to learn the process of final inspection.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as team member to support operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Under supervision, prepare and test equipment.
  • Learn to read engineering drawings.
  • General housekeeping of all workshop areas.
  • To learn and understand how to read engineering drawings.
  • Understand how to read and use all measuring equipment.
  • Work in various areas of the business, gaining valuable experience in all areas.
  • Conduct workshop activities to ensure timely preparation of equipment.
  • Adhere to company health, safety, environmental, permit to work and quality procedures at all times.
  • Participate in risk assessments and "Toolbox" briefings prior to any works commencing.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and always observe safe practices.
  • Effectively communicate with other team members and clients.
  • Develop a sound knowledge of equipment.
  • Log and liaise with Workshop Manager regarding faults and repair of equipment.
  • Report to Workshop Manager on performance and suitability of equipment.
  • As part of the 4-year apprenticeship program attend college classes/training and pass all required college curriculum modules within set timeframe.
  • Work toward a minimum of an HNC or recognised apprenticeship.
